Checking through stopforunspam.com, it seems we have an avenue to catch up with a number of regular spambots here.

Krondo8, Olivia, Clara03, Kent, Maria16, Flavia, etc. etc, are all using the same IP address: 89.248.168.91

This is to a server host in the Netherlands, namely

The registered owner of the IP address is:

Netherlands

Abuse of their system, which includes the spamming here, should be reported to: abuse@ecatel.net

One of our other spammers, Josh, aka Valentine, aka Sillana2, aka Brox, aka Gartman6, etc. is a little harder to track, as he uses IP addresses all over the world including the USA.
His usual e-mail addresses are

Up to the 15th of this month he has been using a USA-based IP address (144.229.34.5) supplied by:

As of yesterday, 29th September, he was using an IP address in India.

Paul,

You are saying what many have said...there are so many ways to stop the SPAM...those in charge just need to do it. It is very discouraging to see it grow worse every day.

Quite right Jackie,

But what I'm also pointing out is HOW the two main spammers are getting their access.

Admittedly they are likely to have moved on from the ISPs they were using, but if the Admin/s don't contact the ISPs via the abuse departments whose e-mail addresses are above, then they are free to continue spamming this and other fora.

www.stopforumspam.com logs all these attackers almost in real-time (along with the IP address used, the ISP who is assigned that IP address, the spammers various usernames and e-mail addresses), and if ALL forum admins not just here used the complaints facility that virtually every ISP company has to provide, it would cut the spamers off at source.

This obviously is a seperate but related issue to the spam messages not being cleaned up by whoever still does have access since the 14th of April this year. As Ed pointed out a while back.... it's a 30-minute job at most.

To those who may think this is "bitching", it's not. I'm simply trying to help by pointing out resources that are available that the admin/s may not already know about. :)

Paul,

The only one who has access to the management area any more is Kele. Don and I lost our access when our permissions were taken away. So the fact is only Kele can clean up the SPAM and as we all know that is not happening.

You are very correct that the person in charge needs to do everything possible to both stop the SPAMMERS and remove the trash that is already here and still coming in every single day.

You are also correct that the ISP addresses need to reported and therefore stopped. BUT the problem is someone has to do it ....and there in my friend lies the problem as there is only one person who can.
