Hello,
Just by chance, I happened upon what I believe is an original flight jacket from the 401stBG, 612th BS. The Jacket has handpainted art on the front and back. On the back is a picture of a female sitting below the heading "Tantalizing Takeoff."Directly below her are 5 small swatstikas. (This word is NOT in spell check..)Below that, there are 24 white bombs. In the lower left hand corner are 3 more small swatstikas. On the front of the jacket there are two hand painted patches. On the left is a patch which has 401 in the upper corner and 612 in the lower opposite corner. At the bottom of it is what I believe is a name. It says "Morsab Alto" I think, it's a bit worn and hard to make out.On the right side of the front of the jacket is another hand painted patch with a bomb horizontally and some sort of decorative design below it. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? What does all of this stuff mean? Is it authentic as it sure looks it! Thanks for your time.

Tantalizing Takeoff's serial number is not known.  Cannot remember the nickname name on any of the crew lists of missions, although I can remember talking to a crewmember at a reunion that had flown in it. Cold be a tough one.  Might want to put a message on the board specifying Tantalizing Takeoff.

Hello,
I can send you a photo of the aircraft. My father was on the crew of this B-36. I realize that this was posted a long time ago but if you are still interested let me know and I will send the photo.
