While searching for something else, I stumbled across this. Thought I would share this as I have no idea if anyone is interested in the info.

Charles was then sent overseas to England to join the 8th Airforce. First Lieutenant Charles Hess served with the 613th Bomber Squadron of the 401st Bomber Group Heavy, based an airfield named Station 128, near Deenethorpe, Northamptonshire County, England

I found that while searching for images of all things. I am glad I shared it here. It is amazing how misplaced articles can be on the Internet, but it was a good find.

I would suggest that you start a Topic with a specific name and put all your finds under it. Topic names such as 401st BG interesting internet Links
