One of the photos in the Blue Book's section on the 450th Sub Depot shows the interior of an unknown building:



While looking at some of the NARA photos a bit more closely today, I think it's this one:



The same spot nowadays:



While I was at it, I took a grab of the sign over the adjoining Romney Hut doorway:



And the same building now:

Don't want to rain on your parade Paul but I aint convinced about the welding shop apart from maybe the shape of the roof, you need to work harder on this ol sceptic 😂

Which bit isn't convincing mate?

The Blue Book photo of the interior of a 450SD corrugated iron workshop with welding gear, the NARA photo of the 450SD corrugated iron welding shop, or the 2007 photo of the brick building that currently stands on the site of the welding shop? 😉

PS, I haven't forgotten about the CD, I've just not had a chance to drop it round.

The brick building old son, far too modern to be original me being ex construction trade an all, I don't doubt the location though I reckon thats spot on 😃 Still can't find a job so got plenty of time for the CD if you can get a copy over 😂
