Bill Erzar 5/8/2005 10:55:32 PM | Does anyone recall my dad, Bill Erzar, a ball turret gunner, who flew with the Lt. Bill Tobin crew from the 614th. He flew in Shade Ruff II, Lady Vivian and a plane that had markings IW-S. The crew photo is here on the 401st crew photos in front of a plane that looks like it could be named "Slip Boy." (My dad is at the right end of the front row) Any info would be appreciated. He was from Ely, Minnesota. Thanks!! |

I might have sent that pic to your dad in the early '80's, I got it from Norm Moreau the bombardier, while I was in college. I spent some time tracking down the crew after my dad died in '77. Plane was Cedric the Blip Boy on loan from the 351st and was a radar ship they flew near the end of the war. |

I never did ask my dad a lot about his service and he didn't talk much about it either, and he passed away in 1997. Bill |
