Recently, someone sent my Father (John W. Spellman) a photocopy of The 614th and 615th Crew of John S. Cole and he sent it on to me.  First, thanks a million to whomever found the picture and sent it.  It really means a lot.  Second, may I purchase a copy of the picture?  Third, how can I do more research on my dad's missions and military life?  Unfortunately, his log book was lost in a move and so were his pictures.  Any hints you can give me that will help me do better research would be helpful.

Look on the crews page to see if his pilot is listed.  If so, there will be a listing of crew members, missions, and planes flown if known.  I am on a trip so I don't have my references handy, but if there are specific planes known, the webmaster of this site, or Don Byers can check to see if there are negatives of the planes in the National Archives.  See my message on the same page of the forum for ordering pictures.

Cole's crew is listed on the "Combat Crews added" that you can get to from the home page.  My message on getting pictures from the archives is on page 2 of the forum.
