robert g brown 9/21/2002 6:04:58 PM | george h menzel wrote me a note asking me to send him a glossy picture of captain gaston fox b-17 nickname heaven can wait & crew i sent the glossy picture of the original. i sent this back in may along with the list of crew's members name and the one's that were kia and pow .i sent a pretty fair history from montana to deerthorpe up to the fatal day of 4/10/1944. i keep going to the gallery on the web but find nothing of photo. i find some of the info on mission # 144 but it is not completely correct i really like the 401bg webb it is really great and i know everyone is doing their best (that is the reason it was the might 8th) my concern was that george never received the photo and maybe you are so backed up you have not had time to process thanks for your time robert g brown |
Scott McElvain 10/10/2002 11:29:10 AM | George does the newsletter, not the internet site. According to my reference materials, the serial number of Heaven Can Wait is unknown, although a photo of the plane is in the National Archives, negative number 65596AC. If you can help with the serial number, that would be nice. |
Art Seder 10/19/2002 7:17:54 PM | I am sorry the photo you refer to hasn't made it too the web site as yet. Please see my message on the Forum entitled Mission Descriptions. We are trying to get all of the phtos and crew material together so they can be added to the web site in a logical and coherent manner. It does take time, however, and most of the work is done by our incomparable webmaster, Larry Cooper, in his spare time. So stay with us! |
