9/3/2015 12:42:42 PM | I had the honor of being Aaron Wishnoff's Guardian during his visit to the World War II Memorial yesterday with 80+ veterans brought to the DC area with Honor Flight Chicago. Aaron had the opportunity to meet Senator Bob Dole, who was at the World War II Memorial for an earlier ceremony in honor of V-J Day (September 2, 1945). Aaron was a navigator (33 missions) with the 612th Bomb Squadron. At 91 he is still spry and has hardly aged a day from his crew picture posted on your website 🙂 Retired from a management position with Walgreens he splits his time between his home in Homewood, Illinois (outside Chicago) and a winter house in Florida. Widowed several years ago, Aaron has two sons and one grandson in the Chicago area.

9/9/2015 2:45:26 PM | Not a great photo on our site but the only one we have and we don't have a single photo of Aaron as well. In addition we have no names for the crew photo. Can you tell me which one is Aaron in the crew photo. I also want to give you a shout out for being his Guardian during the Honor's Flight. Thank You, Thank You!!!!! Don Byers Group Historian

12/30/2015 11:47:20 AM | Sorry for the delay in responding. The crew picture I was looking at appears to be of that of the Robert S Jones crew (615th BS), not the Dale G Jones crew (612th BS). The figure kneeling in the lower left of the Robert S Jones crew photo certainly looks like Aaron Wishnoff but I could be wrong. I'll forward you via e-mail a picture of Aaron and I at the Air Force Memorial while he was visiting with Honor Flight Chicago in September 2015. Happy New Year!
