It's with great sadness that I inform those on the Forum of the passing of Arthur R. Seder Jr. Information provided to us was that he had a fall on Sunday, July 12th, he deteriorated pretty quickly after that and flew aloft on Tuesday, July 14th. His daughter Beth told him about 3 hours before his death, "I told him to get in his B17 and fly into the clouds and my brother, Jim, would be there to meet him". We also hope that he heard her and decided that was a great idea! You may view his obituary HERE: LINK to Obituary

There is so much one could tell about his 95 years of life and we can only speak of his time with the 401st Bomb Group which would include but not be limited to:

His 26 Missions flown during his time at Deenethorpe. He served many years as President of the 401st Bombardment Group Association. Art was later given the status of President Emeritus for his outstanding commitment to the Group. He was also awarded the Harold H. Bowman Award for his contribution's to the Association. He was the first to donate to the Historical Research Project.
