Silly question, but here we go.....

I've been meaning to join the 401st BG Association for some time now, since the 2002 decision to open it to non-Veterans.
However, the application form requires the fee to be sent as a cheque, which would be a big problem for non-US applicants. Enclosing cash would be a bit risky, and postal/money orders cost a fortune to both sender and receiver, so what is the best way to pay?

All the best,
Paul

Hi Paul,
I recently joined up, took the plunge and sent a crisp 20 dollar bill obtained from NatWest by post and encountered no problems, received my first newsletter a fortnight ago although nothing in the form of a membership card. So I would say it's all rather straight forward. Sometimes you just gotta do it.

Dragging this thread out of the darkness momentarily. 😉

I took Dale's advice and sent my application off about a month ago.
Unfortunately, I forgot to put my accompanying letter in the envelope (oops) alongside the application form, and I appreciate the Treasurer is away on holiday, but I look forward to recieving any acknowledgement of my application in any form.

Fingers crossed,
Paul

Well, it's now March and I've heard nothing regarding my membership application.

Is there any way to check up on these things?
Kele, are you still the Association Treasurer? If so, have you recieved the funds?

I hope it hasn't got lost in the mail.

All the best,
Paul
