Comments |- | '''Charles Westervelt'''
2/14/2007 5:19:40 PM | My father was a member of the ground crew in the 614th squadron of the 401st bomb group. Sometime in late 1944 or early 1945, he was reassigned to a unit consisting of small planes<nowiki>--</nowiki>piper cubs. My guess is that this was a Field Artillery Unit. He went to France and was in Germany when the war ended.
I am trying to find out which FA unit he was assigned to. He does not remember.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
|- | '''Donald Byers'''
2/17/2007 12:30:19 AM | Best guess is to try the following link and ask for that info. The process is lined out.

Don Byers

[http://www.archives.gov/st-louis/military-personnel/standard-form-180.html
] |}
