Served in the air force.<br>2. During WW2-401st 693th Sq, Bb Gp (B-17's)seven missions bombing Germany. My job was gunnery instructor. Plane shot up once forcing an emergency landing in France.<br>3. During Korean War=98th Bb Gp,613th Bb Sqdn.B-29's. Bombing North Korea. Completed 54 missions as Senior Gunner.<br>4. Served for twenty years.Wartime about 2to3.<br>5. Rank when retired --Master Seargent.<br>6. Have a 50% disability due to hearing loss as a result of flying and working around guns and airplanes.<br>7. There were no MRE's-But we had K=rations which I rarely used--but I liked the Breakfast meal best.<br>8. Biggest Engagement--During WW2--1st 1000 plane bombing raid over Germany.
