My mothers` name was Winifred Mary Travis (nee Killoran), and she was in the WRAF, probably stationed at Kirkham near Blackpool. Her friends` surname was "French", he was air-crew, and spent quite some time at my grandparents home in Church street, Lenton, Nottingham. He was tall, blond and handsome, and I have just found a photo on 401stBombardment Group Assn. website, on the 612th bomb squadron page, of a M.H. French, where could I get more information about him?? Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks, SUSAN.<br/> |}
