Were there nicknames assigned to the different squadrons. If so what were they?

When we were training on B17s at Great Falls,Mont.,I recall the 612th sqdn was called "Martin's Wranglers"
after a bear cub that was kept on leash in the office

As far back as I can determine, the 614th was known as the Lucky Devils, a name reflected in their unit insignia.  I know that was true of the unit in later years when it was equipped with F-4s and F-16s, but I'm not sure how far back in history that moniker carried.
