I believe it is orders to return to the states. It lists the names of Howard Holt, Ivan Gailey, Coy Lively, Ray Hunt, Frederick Guin, Carl Chapman, Cecil Huston, James Crosson, Ben Klapow and my Dad. The Serial No of 43-38109 is listed for the plane. Signed William Garland on June 3, 1945. I would love to get in touch with any of the men listed or their families.
|- | '''Scott McElvain'''
6/23/2004 8:09:57 AM | As for the plane, there is info on the website, but as far as I can see, there are no photos of it at the National Archives. It probably wouldn't hurt to check the Archives with the pilot's name/group, etc, to see what they might have for the crew.
|- | '''lL.A. Mitchell'''
6/25/2004 7:45:39 PM | Clark, Your list sounds like it wa a list of men who wee destined for home. Not a crew list. Do you know the pilot of your fathers plane. Most of combat crew arelisted in our records under the nam of their pilot.
CHec mopre in your dad's papers. Or if its possible
, see if he remembers pilot's name of the crew he flew with.
I did find Ray hunts's name, he is deceased. He was a radio operator in the 612th Squadron. What squadron was your dd in. Tis will help a lot to find people.i'll keep trying if I get more info..L,A, Mitchell

|- | '''Clark Elenbaas'''
6/28/2004 10:48:12 AM | Thanks for your reply. The Pilot listed on the paper is Howard Holt. The paper lists the names I memtioned and then another list of passengers. My father was in the 612, and is pictured in the 401st Blue Book with the crew of Captain Hayes. He says that there was alot of trading around with crews and he flew 17 missions and then was part of a ground crew. I have one more favor and could you lead me to the web site that has the information for 43-38109. Thanks you for your help
|}
