They were the crew of Satan's Chillen of the 613th bomb squadron. Amy information or photos of this crew and plane would be appreciated.
Michael Annis
|- | '''Michael Annis'''
5/10/2004 12:12:19 AM | I believe that R. A. Annis is Romie A. Annis, born 1923, died 1975 and is buried at Oaklawn Cemetery, Benton, OR. If anyone has anymore information please contact me at annisfamily@hotmail.com

|- | '''Win Bryson'''
5/13/2004 12:26:44 PM | Michael:
Have you already looked at the 'Assigned Aircraft' page of this website? If not, got to: 'Site Map' > 'History of the 401BG' > 'Assigned Aircraft'. There it lists #43-37706, "Satan's Chillin", and its missions - including those of Pilot Lt. Annis. It's a start.

With Lt. Annis's 'particulars' (serial number, 613SQ. 401BG, dates of service, and aircraft ID (serial number/name) you could try an E-mail inquiry to the National Archives II, College Park, Md. (www.archives.gov) via their website's 'contact us' E-mail form to see if they have photos. They'll reply - either way - and should they have photos, they'll reply with how to order prints (via outside vendors).

I'm not sure how to trace of find records of Vets who survived the War, but there must be VA or Army (or Air Force) sources available to family members like you.

Good hunting.

Win Bryson
|- | '''Scott McElvain'''
5/15/2004 7:40:47 AM | There are two negatives in the Archives with connections to Satan's Chill'en. According to Heavy Bombers of the Eighth by PRoject Bits and Pieces, their numbers are C65433AC and A65711AC. You have to ask for them. They will send you xeroxes of the photos and how to order prints from companies that can pull the negatives. The booklet says that these are connected to Satan's Chill'en, but they didn't know the serial number. The serial number listing doesn't have any photos connected to it. I would assume the shots are either crew, nose art, or a shot where the serial number was not visible.
|}
