I hope that I am allowed to publish this.
On May 28, 1944 the 401st Bomb Group suffered its biggest loss of the war. Six aircraft were shot down during agressive German fighter attacks in the target area, and a seventh was ditched in the North Sea. After many years of research I am happy to tell you that my book 'Mission 376, battle over the Reich: 28 May 1944' is published (by Hikoki Publications from the UK). It describes in great detail this day's actions, and of course the exploits of the 401st Bomb Group are well covered. There is much photo material illustrating the story. The book is hard-cover A-4 size, 218 pages with approximately 300 photos and profiles. The ISBN number is 1 902109 03 1. It is distributed in the US by Specialty Press (www.specialtypress.com) and also for sale on the web(for example at http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=sbk0903)
I hope that this of interest for many of you, and that the book is a tribute to those 401st Bomb Group crews who flew this horrible mission.
Kind regards,
