Crew Info
Pilot of this crew was 2nd Lt. D.H. Stauffer you will be able to find the remaining crew and mission info from the Crew Listing and under the 614th.  Page 108 of the 401st Bomb Group Book indicates that the pilot and likely his crew were trained on B-24's in the U.S. prior to going to England.  They went to Stone by train to receive their unit assignments.  They found they were going to Station 128 Deenethrope.  The train stopped at Kettering which is the closest point to Deenethrope Jacob N. Shepherd the writter of this article indicated they jumped up to see what modle B-24s were at the airfield but all they saw were B-17's.  They asked the Sarge where the B-24's were they also asked if they were at the right place and the Sarge replied Yes Sir this is a B-17 base.  I'm in the process of trying to find out if a Squadron history is available for all squadrons and am shure there are.  As I have one for the 615th but not the rest.  These books were compiled by Vic Maslen from England. I found no listing in the 2000 Member ship Directory of any crew members.  Again when you go to the crew listing and get to the correct page you will see they flow 18 missions.  You will also be able to see info on each mission flown by clicking the target for each missions.   If I come up with anything else I will let you know.
