| Your dad was apparently the navigator on E.A. Hansen's crew in the 615th Squadron - the ship (42-97869 - IY-A - &quot;Hula Girl&quot;) was hit by flak on mission #209 to Gelsenkirchen - the crew bailed out: 3 KIA, one evaded capture and the others were POWs - check the mission, crew and aircraft references on the 401st site for additional info - hope this helps<br/>

| I can verify that according to the Bits and Pieces booklet on B-17s, there are no known pictures of Hula Girl, IY-H/A, also known as Maid to Order, IW-H.  You might check with the National Archives (see the message on the board on how to order pictures from the National Archives).  Give them the Group, Squadron, Plane/Serial Number and see if they might have something that just hasn't shown up in my sources.<br/>

| Hi Joshua,<br/> <br/> Sorry to here about your father.  It is of great regret that my sister and I did not pursue your comments on page 15 of Forum...check my comments and yours.  I did not check back, but my sister did respond.  The other day she emailed me and noted your response.  We have both been occupied with other events in the past year that has caused us to put our research on hold...I, going through a career change, and my sister losing her husband Sam to stomach cancer in December, 2002.  Sam also responded on page 15.  Sam was also very interested in the research effort, and very instrumental in finding information and keeping the research effort active.       <br/> <br/> We have a lot of information thanks to Jim Morrison, mission Toggelier.  Our intent has been to eventually compile what we have.  Now that both my sister and I are in more stable life situations, we intend to get back to our previous efforts.<br/> <br/> After getting infomation from Jim, my sister and I were going to try to find other surviving crew members, but we did not get that far for reasons sited.  Any information that you might have will only enhance what we already have.  And if there are others out there that know about crew members or surviving family members don't hesitate to respond.<br/> <br/> Don        <br/> <br/>   <br/>
