Jim Rudnick 8/13/2002 7:03:57 PM | If anyone has any info on R.E. Howlin and his crew from the 615th and the aircraft they flew, I'd like to know. Thanks. |
Scott McElvain 8/14/2002 5:13:45 PM | Can possibly supply crew members, a list of missions, planes flown, and pictures of planes if they exist. |
Jim Rudnick 8/18/2002 10:55:55 AM | According to my uncle, the plane they were assigned to was a new one that they ferried over to England via Greenland. I have a crew list somewhere, but if you have a picture or squadron letters, tail numbers, etc. I'd appreciate it as I want to build my uncle a model of the plane he flew. Thanks so much. |
Scott McElvain 8/18/2002 2:25:03 PM | Found Howlin's crew in the 614th. Have the crew flying six missions, two on IW-D (42-97322), and one each in IN-G (43-38791), IW-S (42-102468, IW-Q (42-97478, Shade Ruff), and 42-102077 which is not identified and not in my plane book. Will have to do a little research on that one. The number seems familiar. Will look up the planes to see if pictures exist. |
