My father flew  a B-17 bomber with the  401st Bomber Group during WW2. The name of the Fortress was "aw Come on"
I believe the pilot was Harry Jay Ochsenhirt, and his rank I believe was Lieutenant. I would appreciate any information on the plane and crew.

Harry Oschsenhirt was a pilot in the 615th Squadron. He and his crew flew 21 missions between 26 April and 11 July, 1944. I don't find any record of other missions or of being shot down. His crew included Lt.W. H. Ballenger, Co-ilot; Lt. E. L. Bockstanz, Navigator; Lt. J. D. Sleat, Bombardier; T/Sgt R. E. Westberg, Radio Operator; T/Sgt R. A. Fingleton, Engineer; T/Sgt R. K. Martin, Ball Turret Gunner; S/Sgt J. V. Harley, Tail Gunner; S/Sgt R. J. Martin, Waist Gunner; and S/Sgt. A. W. Hussey, Waist Gunner.

According to my 614th booklet, he was pilot in both the 614th and 615th.  Can send you a list with crew members, missions, and planes.  Can also send info on the planes they flew specified on some of the missions.

Hello there,
My Grandfather Lt.Coloniel Joe Cromer was a B-17 pilot as well. Ralph "Rainbow" Trout was his co-pilot. Although he passed away many years ago at a CAF(Confederate Air Force) air show in Harlingen Tx, we still remember him well. His plane was called the "I'll Be Seeing You". He loved the name so much he always had his license plates personalized with ILBCNU. In fact I have some of the old ones from his car. I didn't know if you had ever heard of it. Anyway, just wanted to say hello- Thanks, Holli Boulware
