Jeff Kobinsky 1/2/2002 10:50:08 AM | My dad is Charles J. Kobinsky, he was a radio / gunner on B17 HEAVY DATE and completed 35 missions with the 401st BG 612 squadren. He has recently taken ill with 2x pnuemonia and a slight heart attack, and after a fall at the hospital he is in extended care facility trying to learn to walk again. He is a member of forum, and the 401stBG and reads posts but just trying to get the computer learning process so he can answer posts. He does NOT have access to email where he is staying, but I see him daily. I'd like any words of wisdom and encouragement emailed to me so I can print and take to him. kobinsky@pesi.com Please include a state or country, as he is in awe of internet reach. In all of his 77 years, he is looking at his biggest mission yet to be able to walk again and come home to his wife. |

Robert Funk 11/27/2002 9:54:02 AM | Hello Charley, your problems sound just like mime were. I was with the 401, 612 Sq for a few missions in early 44. Was shot down on April 11, 44. Just hang in there, you will soon be up and walking if you work at it. Remember, you and I and a lot others have been thru more than this.. You will make it just like me and a lot of others.. Thumbs up !!!! Writing this email from Kirksville, MO 63501. I just turned 80 and like you, I am just learning the net "Good luck" |
