| Memorial Day 2012<br/> <br/> Lord I feel our Nation needs your help if we are to survive<br/> As a Nation under God and be ready when you arrive<br/> To judge our people one and all and decide where they should go.<br/> When will this Judgement Day occur it’s not for us to know!<br/> <br/> It’s more clear to me each day that our Nation we must save.<br/> We’re chipping away at all the freedoms that our Founders gave<br/> In that great document, the Constitution, it’s under attack today.<br/> Enemies of our way of life think they can even tell us when to pray!<br/> <br/>  That’s digging pretty deep into the sacred soil on which we stand.<br/> We must love our neighbor as ourselves with faith in our fellow man.<br/> Our leaders must be Christian and subscribe to the “Golden Rule.”<br/> Beware for there are some seeking high office who are the devils tool!<br/> <br/> As we approach Memorial Day we think of those who’ve died<br/> On the battlefields of the world, we honor them with pride.<br/> They gave their lives and signed in blood a love-note for our land.<br/> They stood up for their belief and followed God’s Command!<br/> <br/> If you’ve lost a loved one in the battles that we’ve fought,<br/> Rest assured that they’re now in Heaven enjoying what they bought<br/> With all the misery, sweat and tears that comes in any war,<br/> Forget the fact we may even go to war and don’t know what it is for!<br/> <br/> Our flag will cast its shadow on the graves of those who die.<br/> Their bodies rest in that sacred soil for which those flags still fly.<br/> Jesus met each fallen hero at the gate and took them by the hand.<br/> They got a hug from God Almighty for saving our precious land!<br/> <br/>                                                                    Copyright                    2012<br/> <br/>                                                                  Jacob Nathaniel Shepherd <br/><br/><br/>
