Samuel “Sam” Shepard—A resident of West Bloomfield, MI, Sam died on February 26th, 2011, at the age of 86. Funeral services took place on February 28th, 2011, at the Dorfman Chapel, Farmington Hills, MI, with interment at B'nai Israel Memorial Gardens, Novi, MI. Shepard was survived by his wife, Dorothy; son Dr. Steven Shepard (Abbie); daughters Iris Shepard Elliot and Cindy (Gordon) Krainen; as well as his grandchildren, Brian, Marc and Justin Elliot, Benjamin Shepard, Sarah and Carly Krainen, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Elliott Shepard. He was the Bombadier on the crew of 1st Lt. R.J. Keck crew of the 613th BS.
