| As some of you know I am sorting and placing together my fathers medals, badges etc. I had forgotten till today that I had found 2 sets of dog tags for my dad.<br/> <br/> I have a strong feeling that the oldest ones are his from WW II. They are a much, much older and has a very different  broken chain that has a religious medal attached. This set of dog tags differs from the other set in they have different sets of numbers and letters that I cannot explain. Can anyone tell me what the letters and numbers on the WW II set mean?<br/> <br/> I also have a much larger different badge that hangs on a chain of some kind that I have not photographed yet so I will need help identifying that as well. | With out seeing anything one would guess the numbers are his service number do you have those numbers from his discharge papers that match them or not?
