| While out running errands this morning I happened to stop at one of our local Big Lots stores. While there I took a few minutes to look through their $3.00, $4.00 and higher movies. <br/> <br/> I was very surprised to find at least half a dozen different WW II DVD sets there and each say they used government footage to put the DVD's together on WW II. They looked very interesting thats for sure and I will be going back this week to pick some up when I have more time to look through them. Just wanted to let others know in case you are interested as well. <br/> <br/> The sets I saw were 2-4 DVD sets and I think they were ony 3 & 4 dollars per set. I great price for a lot of history. | OK, I went back to <u><b>Big Lots</b></u> store today to see what I could find and wish I had take more time this past weekend. They had already sold hundreds of movies emptying entire cartons since I was there 2 days ago.<br/> <br/> The following is a list of the DVD's I was able to locate, but many were single copies as they had been well picked through.<br/> <br/> <b>1. Warbirds  WWII volume II</b>  ~~ 2 DVD set   (2)<br/> <b>2. WW II Combat Zone  1942-1944   ~~ 2 DVD set~~ Turning Point In The Pacfic and Invasion Of Europe</b><br/> <b>3. WW II Combat Zone  1944-1945   ~~ 2 DVD set~~  From D-Day to Tokyo Harbor</b><br/> <b>4. WW II Combat Zone  1939-1942   ~~ 2 DVD set~~ The World Goes To War</b><br/> <b>5. Confidential~~                            ~~ 2 DVD set~~  Films Of WW II-More Secrets Revealed </b><br/> <b>6. The World in Conflict 1931-1945  ~~ 2 DVD set~~  Rare Archival Footage</b><br/> <br/> also there: <br/> <b>Century Of Warfare~~WW I~~WW II~~ </b><br/> <b>Famous General's of WW II</b> <b>The Korean War~~Operation Desert Storm WW II in Color~~ Including William <b>Wyler's "Memphis Bell" and John Ford's "The Battle of Midway"</b><br/> <br/> I know <u><b>Big Lots</b></u> has trucks coming in frequestly so I will check again as I can. Don, The only one I could find duplicates of was the one I marked above with a (2). I will keep looking for you if you like any more of the above titles.<br/> <br/> Almost forgot...these 2 DVD sets were only <b><u>$4.00 each</u></b>...so a very good buy for those interested in WW II history.<br/> <br/> <br/> Jackie<br/> <br/> Ps: It is important to remember that the movies will vary from store to store and some of you may be a lot more lucky than I was and find even more titles. | Don,<br/> <br/> I had a few minutes today and I did a quick search on Ebay for any additional movies on B17's and found quite a few, but 2 in particular caught my eye.
