| Just to let you kmow.....my father told us boys that the aircraft that he was in that day had no nose art nor did it have any name on it. Ironically after his pow expirience anr his return to the states...he went to work for Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, Cal.........the same plant that the B-17 that he was shot down in was built. I will try to locate all pics that I have and forward them to you. <br/><br/><br/>

| Thanks to this web page and to the work you all do, I have been able to talk with the son of my father's best friend, Sgt. James Alexander, who was on the plane with my father the day it was shot down.  James' son, Jeff, kindly told me the story of what happened, and of the friendship that existed between his father and mine.  James Alexander was a true hero and would have died attempting to save my father if he had not been forced out of the plane before he crashed.  <br/> My gratitude to Don and everyone else who has keep this web site up and running.
