It was well organized and very informative. I only noticed on spelling error in line 5 I think:

All members bailed out safely and were captured, excepted for John P. England, his faith is unknown.
.

I think you meant fate. His ~fate~ was unknown....that is the only suggestion I can make as you did a wonderful job on it. I certainly look forward to reading all of them as you add more.

Jackie

|- | '''swinny'''

3/23/2008 6:38:42 PM | Ok thanks Jackie , yes I meant fate .
I have to do it with my school English , I am going to change it now.
Thanks,
Andy

_________________________________

My adoption graves [http://www.remember-our-heroes.nl/us_401stBG.htm|http://www.remember-our-heroes.nl/us_401stBG.htm]
|- | '''donaldbyers'''

3/23/2008 9:34:17 PM | Andy,

Thought your update was great and something others may seek for information on 401st information. Beltway) has the originals (not microfilm)of all 401BG Mission Reports;
- - I've visited regarding my Uncle's missions, the last, 10-7-44 Politz where my Uncle S/Sgt.Dorris, was KIA in with his 613Aq. 1st.Lt. A.J. Nelson Crew. For that mission, I copied everything in the NARA's file which included the original Track Chart (flimsy) - the flight plan - that used colored pencil tracks of the briefed and flown tracks for 'C'-Box and 'D'-Box that 401BG planes flew in that day, to and from the target. I have a full size photocopy (black and white) and 35mm film photos (color) of parts of the chart and I'd be glad to check my few other Mission Reports (copies I secured via mail requests,) to see what track information they include, if you're interested.
- - FYI, In requesting the other (July-Oct., 1944) Mission Reports that my Uncle flew, my NARA contact advised that earlier reports were not as complete nor consistent about the forms of information included (as those about the time of Politz and subsequent).
- - Politz was Mission #154. I also have copies of (parts of Reports of) Missions #130 (Schkeuditz) and #133 (Peenemunde), but I don't know if 'Track Charts (or tabular positions-in-time) informations is included. Sometimes the Mission Reports' narrative indicate some route information.
- - I haven't looked to see what Web or Internet sources may have Track Chart information, but I thought others on this 401BG Website had info, too.
Good hunting and let me know if I can help you further.
Win

|- | '''swinny'''

5/27/2008 4:11:01 PM | I just finished my 13th MACR.

Its a lot of work and I would appreciate it if you all could take a look at it.
If someone has something to add or correct , I would be happy to know.
Any comment is welcom

Andy

_________________________________

My adoption graves [http://www.remember-our-heroes.nl/us_401stBG.htm|http://www.remember-our-heroes.nl/us_401stBG.htm]
|- | '''Paul Bellamy'''

5/27/2008 6:13:43 PM | Good job so far Andy.

I'll give you a hand tweaking the English translations if you like.
