But it also transinds to other conflicts that we have been involved with. My self was Viet Nam but my Uncle was KIA on his first mission on 24 Aug 1944 to germany on the Weimar mission and I was named after him so that is why I am personaly involved with the 401st BG and will continute to go to the reuions an hope that our generations will continue to support the group. Our next reuinion will be in Washing DC in 2008 so plan ahead and I hope that you are a member.

Don Byers
Lubbock Texas

Sgt. Donald C. I will post more as time allows. It is so nice to know that the poem has the same meaning to others that they did to my father. Dad served in WW II, Korea, and Viet Nam.

Jackie

|- | '''donaldbyers'''

10/1/2006 2:46:06 AM | Thanks Jackie,

I was only in Viet Nam but I had uncles in all other wars seems that my mothers side of the family was always involved in one or the other. Not so much on my dad's side of the family but thanks again for the posting.

Don Byers
lubbock Texas

Sgt. Donald C.
