The B-17 on the right can immediately be narrowed down to one of four possible identities:
43-37551 IY-L
43-37632 SC-L "I. P."
43-38637 SC-L
43-38941 IN-L
From that, the B-17 on the left should be one of the following:
42-106992 SC-D "Baby Lu" AKA "Grin 'n Bare It "
43-37859 IY-D "Jeanne"
43-38125 IY-D "Mary Makers"
43-38187 IN-D "Carrie B III"
44-6588 IN-D "Carrie B IV"
More investigation required to narrow it down further, but it's a start... 🙂
