6/3/2012 9:39:58 AM | I need your help, people. 🙂 I just recently updated the style of our photo galleries at the 401st main site. Before I explain further, please take a moment to examine a couple of these galleries: /Site/Gallery/Reunion/2004/ or /Site/Gallery/Reunion/1994/Day01/ First, take a moment to hover the mouse over each individual thumbnail. Then, click on a thumbnail and take a closer look. Notice the title and the description. Next, hit the left or right arrows and scroll through the different photos. Now, take a moment and notice the differences between these two galleries and one of these: /Site/Gallery/Reunion/2006/Banquets/ or /Site/Gallery/Reunion/2000/ Notice that a Title and Comments about the photo are missing or not entirely there. This is where I need the help of others. Having not been at all of these reunions and not always knowing who is in a particular picture, I need your help in filling some of these images out. You can help me by downloading a particular photo you have information on and then entering a Title and a Comment into that photo. To download a photo: In your browser: Click on thumbnail to load full sized image. Right click on full sized image and select "Save Image as." Here's how you update the comments: Locate where the photo was downloaded, typically this is in your download directory (for windows). Not sure where on a Mac, anyone who owns a mac is welcome to state where this may be. Right click on the downloaded photo and select "Properties." Select the "Details" tab. This will display a lot of information regarding the photo. Find the items marked "Title" and "Comments" and click on the item to the left of one of them. This will allow you to enter the appropriate information about the photo. Once you've done this, simply send the photo to me and I will upload it back to the site. Note that the information you enter may not appear immediately on the site, as I will likely take time to accumulate enough before uploading them to the site. Help in this matter is greatly appreciated. 🙂 P.S. I plan to do more with the NARA and Album photos as well, but one thing at a time...
