I would like to have an A2 jacket as worne by the 612BS. What badges would be worne on such a jacket, are there any pictures to show them,

That would be the 612th emblem/patch which is the first one on the upper right screen at the top and the 8th AAF patch.

Thanks for that, does anyone have any pictures for these patches positioned on the jacket and are the patches for 612BS and 8AAF patches available. If so were can they be obtained from

Here is an example of a 612th A2 from one of our NARA photos. This is from a crew photo ("Heavy Date") which can be viewed here - http://www.401bg.org/Gallery/NARA/Crews/images/65430c.jpg I am unsure if the squadron insignia is painted or a patch on this A2...

There are several similar examples in the NARA photos; Take your time looking through them and I am certain you can find more. 65434A is another fine example. Send me an email if you need higher resolution of any of the NARA photos.

Thanks for all the replys. In the pictures of the officers in the pictures it clearly shows their uniforms. One question i do have if anyone can answer it for me. what was the standard issue footwear for the officers uniform
