I will be taking my family to Disneyworld late in January. Does anyone know of a museum that might have a b-17 display? Thanks Dennis Brinson

You're in luck, Florida has quite a few B-17s in museums.

Kermit Week's Fantasy of Flight Museum has B-17G (44-83542). The museum is between Orlando and Tampa.
1400 Broadway Blvd. S.E. Polk City, FL. 33868

The Flying Tigers Warbird Museum has 3 on site and is just outside Disneyworld.
B-17G 44-85813 which is being used as a parts source for
B-17G 44-85734 which is under restoration to flying condition.
B-17G 44-83525 is also there for restoration after hurricane damage and vandalism, she belongs to Kermit Weeks at the previous museum.
The address is 231 N. Hoagland Blvd. Kissimmee, FL 34741.

And finally, there is B-17G 44-83863 at the Air Force Armament Museum, Elgin AFB.

Hope that helps,
Paul

Mr Bellamy,
Thank you for responding. My Uncle was a co-pilot with the 615th and died when I was 8 . I have found much information about him from this association, and have gotten his records. I would really like to see a b-17 and I believe that now I will!!

Thanks again
Dennis Brinson

FYI His name was 2nd Lieutenant Joseph Stevenson

All the best,
